Last week, I was thrilled to be a part of the Short & Sweet Flash Fiction edition of Liars’ League NYC. Many amazing stories were selected by co-hosts Nancy Hightower and Andrew Lloyd-Jones, each performed by a distinguished member of the New York City theater community. You can hear Jonathan Minton read my piece, “Popcorn” by clicking the link in the menu, or this one right here. Many, many, thanks to Jonathan, Nancy, Andrew, and everyone who made it out to KGB Bar in support.
Jonathan Minton is an actor and sometimes-writer in New York City, where he’s played Soliony in Three Sisters, Rivers in Richard III and Andrew in Twelfth Night, among other roles. He has a Bachelors in Theatre from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where he grew up. He’s the founder of Poetry Parley, a monthly poetry reading now in it’s fifth year, and of Anchorage’s first late-night sketch comedy show, The Pogo Stick, Go-Go Dancer Company (aka, The PoGoGoGoCo), both at the Out North Contemporary Art House, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Also, Hybrid Moments: A Literary Tribute toThe Misfits is off to an amazing start with its Kickstarter campaign, nearing 60% of its funding goal with the majority of the month still to go. If you haven’t contributed, go here and preorder your copy for less than the cover price when the book ships in October.
